Welcome

Portpatrick faces west across the sea towards Ireland, and the Crown sits right on its harbour.

Inside there's a cosy bar, with a big conservatory restaurant at the back, and when the weather allows there are tables out on the front. Food is served through the day, all year round, and seafood is what the Crown is known for. The menu runs to half a Portpatrick lobster, Orkney mussels, West Coast scallops and a hot seafood platter, with Galloway venison and steak for meat eaters. There's a choice for vegetarians and vegans, and children's meals too. After lunch, walk it off on the clifftop path north of the village, part of the Southern Upland Way.
