Seafood on Davies Brae and Loch Linnhe.
Dinner in Lochaber is often seafood, landed a few steps away. Mallaig has family restaurants up from the harbour serving mussels, langoustines and fish and chips, and a wee pub with live music on Saturdays. In Fort William you'll find seafood platters on Cameron Square and French-inspired cooking in a house full of paintings. On the shore of Loch Linnhe, a hotel dining room has its own beach, and at Kingairloch an old boathouse cooks the estate's venison, beef and lamb. At Inverie, the community pub and a bistro above Loch Nevis wait at the end of a boat ride. Book ahead, as tables go quickly in summer.
