Troon is a popular seaside town on the Ayrshire coast only a few miles from Prestwick International Airport and about 45 minutes by train from Glasgow. It boasts a long sandy beach with views across to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. Take a walk along the promenade or sit on a bench, relax and enjoy the view. Visit the harbour and marina and see fishing boats, yachts and some lovely restaurants. The town also has hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. This is a golfers’ paradise with the famous Royal Troon Golf course and another six courses around the town. Kitesurfing and windsurfing can be found on the beach in the summer months.
