The Bank Café & Restaurant
A café and restaurant in Huntly's former North of Scotland Bank, a granite building of 1842 by Archibald Simpson.
Huntly's grand old bank has found a happy new life as a café by day and a restaurant in the evening.
It opened as a restaurant in March 2022, after eight months of refurbishment. By day the menu is brunch, with buttermilk pancakes, French toast, eggs Benedict and a full breakfast with black pudding and haggis, as well as sandwiches, jacket potatoes and haddock and chips. In the evening there's braised short rib of beef, pan-fried hake and sticky toffee pudding with tablet ice cream. Sunday is all about the roast: choose a small, medium or large plate, then a meat and your trimmings from a long list that runs from skirlie to pigs in blankets. For afters there are three scoops of Rizza's ice cream, and the whisky list has some rare bottles to finish the evening with.
