Suie Hunting Lodge

Suie Hunting Lodge is the old shooting lodge of the Suie Estate, built around 1780 at Luib in Glen Dochart, between Crianlarich and Killin.
Pauline and Robbie McCaig took it on in 2017 and have been restoring it ever since. They are bringing rooms back to their original layouts and making new furniture from wood saved from the outbuildings.
There are six rooms, each for two, with stone walls, vintage furniture, William Morris fabrics, feather and down bedding and drench showers. Some have cast-iron roll-top baths, the Laird's Suite has an industrial four-poster, and Room 1 looks out over the River Dochart. Downstairs there's a drawing room and a bar with whisky, wine and gin lists and Scottish lager on tap. It's bed and breakfast through the week, and the restaurant opens on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, so plan your stay around one of those for dinner.

Six rooms for two with feather and down bedding, drench showers and Laura Thomas toiletries, some with roll-top baths, and a drawing room and bar downstairs.

The lodge stands at Luib in Glen Dochart, on the road between Crianlarich and Killin, with the River Dochart in the fields below.
The West Highland Way passes through Crianlarich a few short miles away, and Ben More and the other Munros north of Loch Lomond are very close.
