Stob Binnein

Stob Binnein stands shoulder to shoulder with Ben More above Crianlarich, 1,165 metres high and only a few metres lower than its twin.
Seen from the south and east the two make a famous pair of peaks, and though Stob Binnein is seldom thought of on its own, many who climb them reckon it the finer summit, a neat cone. Its Gaelic name is usually given as the peak of the anvil.
Most people climb it with Ben More from Benmore Farm on the A85, a long, steep day, going over Ben More first and down to the bealach between them before the climb to Stob Binnein. It can also be approached on its own from Inverlochlarig in Balquhidder Glen to the south, or as part of a horseshoe round the Allt Coire Chaorach. From the top the views run across the whole of the southern Highlands, and down the long glen of Balquhidder.
