Dalavich Shop and Wild Rowan Cafe

The village shop, post office and Wild Rowan Cafe at Dalavich on the shore of Loch Awe, with food, provisions, fishing permits and bikes to hire.

Call
Welcome

Dalavich is a small village on the quiet western shore of Loch Awe, and its heart is this little building: a village shop, a part-time post office and the Wild Rowan Cafe, all under one roof.

The cafe is cosy, with red walls, a stone chimney breast and fairy lights strung across the ceiling, and there is seating outside for fine days. Visitors praise the friendly staff and good, simple food, from a black pudding and tattie scone roll to cakes and good coffee. The shop stocks groceries and basic provisions for anyone staying in the cabins and lodges round about, along with local crafts.

It is also the place to pick up fishing permits and tackle for the loch, outdoor and barbecue gear, and mountain bikes to hire for the forest tracks. Check its Facebook page for the latest opening hours.
