The Black Isle

Cromarty Ferry Terminal

Welcome

The little ferry leaves from Cromarty, at the very tip of the Black Isle, and each crossing takes about ten minutes.

The boat carries just two cars and twelve passengers, and drivers reverse on and off under the crew's guidance. Look out for dolphins, seals and seabirds as you cross, and you'll almost certainly see an oil rig or two. The ferry runs from the start of April to the end of September. There's a café at the terminal if you have a wait. Check the ferry's Facebook page before you set out.
