Cromarty Cinema
A 35-seat community cinema by the ferry slipway in Cromarty, run by volunteers and showing new releases, films for young people and the best independent cinema.
Beside the ferry slipway at the far end of Cromarty harbour stands a small and much-loved cinema.
Cromarty Cinema is a dark, modern building with its name in bold yellow letters, and inside are just 35 comfortable seats.
It grew out of a film festival that the local film society ran for more than twelve years. After a big fundraising effort the purpose-built cinema opened in January 2020, and it is run by a small staff and a team of more than twenty volunteers, who do everything from the projection to the sweeties. Working with Eden Court in Inverness, it shows new releases, films for young people and the best of independent cinema.
Tickets can be booked online or bought at the door half an hour before the film. Parking in Cromarty is free.

Screenings most weeks, usually in the evening and at weekends; see the programme and book online.
