Cromarty Brewing Company

A family-run craft brewery at Davidston, just outside Cromarty, with a shop selling its small-batch beers straight from where they are brewed.

Welcome

Just before the road reaches Cromarty, a small lane turns off to Davidston, and at the end of it a low stone building with a painted sign is where the Cromarty Brewing Company makes its beer.

It is a family business, and a small one, though its beers have won a string of awards.

The brewing is done in small batches, and nothing is pasteurised or filtered. The core range runs from Happy Chappy, a new-wave pale ale, to Ghost Town, a dark porter made with ten malts, and Red Rocker, a red rye IPA, with limited editions coming and going.

The shop sells the lot, chilled, in cans and bottles, along with cards, gifts and brewery clothing, and the staff are happy to talk you through what to try. It opens on weekdays, and on Saturdays until 3pm.
