Welcome

On the seafront at Rosemarkie, looking across the road to the beach and the Moray Firth, a low stone cottage with its doorway hung in greenery is one of the busiest little places on the Black Isle.

Crofters is a café by day and a restaurant into the evening, open every day from ten until nine.

The menu is short and generous. The fish and chips are what most people order, and the fish is large; there are burgers and calamari, cheesy fries and cakes, plenty for vegetarians and a good choice for anyone eating gluten-free. Finish with an ice cream and take it over to the sand.

There are tables inside, and more outside, some under cover in a heated marquee for cooler days. Dogs are welcome, and the service is quick and friendly.
