Ambience Café
A café and restaurant on Victoria Street in Rothesay, known for its fresh breads, cinnamon buns and focaccia.
Ambience is a café and restaurant on Victoria Street in Rothesay, the main town on the Isle of Bute, in a pale ground-floor shop under a blue awning, a few steps from the castle and the seafront.
It is known for its friendly welcome and its fresh bakes: breads, cinnamon buns and focaccia made on the premises.
It serves breakfast, lunch and, on Saturday evenings, dinner, with coffee and cake between times; burgers and chicken wings are among the plates. It is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 8.30pm; it is closed on Monday, Friday and Sunday. Tables can be booked on 01700 504684, and there is a takeaway too. Children and dogs are welcome, and the entrance and seating are step-free. It makes an easy stop on a day on Bute, off the ferry from Wemyss Bay.

Open Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am to 8.30pm; closed Monday, Friday and Sunday.
