Welcome

Beside the A90 on the edge of Brechin, at Haughmuir, the Brechin Castle Centre is a big garden centre and a handy stop on the road between Dundee and Aberdeen.

Its yard is full of plants, pots and garden furniture, and the shop inside runs to gifts, food and seasonal things for the house.

The coffee shop is bright and roomy, with tables looking out over the grounds, and serves breakfasts, lunches, soups and home baking. Beyond it, a seventy-acre country park gives children space to run and dog walkers a loop to follow.

The centre opens every day from nine until five, with plenty of parking, and the old town of Brechin, its cathedral and its steam railway are a few minutes' drive away.
