Rare breeds and a Kishorn phone box.

Odd and lovely things turn up by the roadside in Wester Ross. At Kishorn, an old red telephone box has been turned into a selfie station, with a gallery and shop beside it. On the shore of Loch Carron near Plockton, a small farm keeps rare old breeds of sheep, pigs, ponies and poultry, and children can feed many of them by hand. By Loch Maree, a car park looks over a loch said to be named after St Maelrubha. Out on the water, one island holds a little loch with an island of its own. Each one makes an easy stop on a long day's drive.
