Tarbat Ness Lighthouse
Introduction
Sitting at the northernmost tip of the Tarbat Peninsula, the Tarbat Ness Lighthouse overlooks the Moray Firth at 174 feet. Built by engineer Robert Stevenson, the lighthouse has a distinctive red and white striped pattern on its exterior. Many also believe the lighthouse was built on the foundations of a roman landmark that was first identified in the Middle Ages.
