Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin

A Munro of 1,105 metres, one of the two Easains above the west side of Loch Treig, climbed from Fersit at the end of the Loch Treig road.

Welcome

Stob a' Choire Mheadhoin, 1,105 metres, is one of the two Easains, the pair of Munros that stand side by side above the west side of Loch Treig.

Its twin, Stob Coire Easain, is about a kilometre to the south-west and ten metres higher. Stob Coire Sgriodain stands about four kilometres to the east.

Most walkers start at Fersit, at the end of the Loch Treig road off the A86, and climb the hill's long north ridge. No avalanche forecast covers the hill: the Lochaber avalanche forecasters place the pair just to the east of their area. Do not count on a phone signal near the hill, and the nearest places of ours to eat are in Fort William. Choose a day with a good forecast, and carry a map, a compass and warm clothes.
