Iona Community Shop
The Iona Community's shop and welcome centre opposite the abbey, with books, local crafts and Iona Abbey bread.
The Iona Community's Shop and Welcome Centre is across the road from Iona Abbey, in a low white building, and it is a good first stop on the island: the staff will answer your questions, share what is on, and tell you about the Iona Community, an ecumenical Christian movement for justice and peace that was founded in 1938 and lives and worships at the abbey.
The shop sells a wide range of books, from the Iona Abbey Worship Book and Wild Goose music to Scottish history, geography and literature and books for children, alongside locally hand-crafted gifts, Celtic jewellery, pilgrimage guides, clothing, maps and cards. Everything is chosen with fair trade and local trade in mind, and all the profits go to the Community's work on Iona and Mull. There are hot and cold drinks and snacks too, ice cream, home baking, and the famous Iona Abbey bread. It is open every day, from noon on Sundays.

Open Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday noon to 5pm.
