Coastal Cuppie

A little coffee shack on the harbour at Pennan, open from April to October for tea, coffee and homemade cakes, cash only, supporting the village.

At the harbour in Pennan, the single street of white cottages under the cliffs, a little wooden hut serves tea, coffee and cake beside the sea.

The Coastal Cuppie is the village's own coffee shack, run by Shona, and it is as much a meeting place as a café.

The cakes are homemade, and visitors come back for the Victoria sponge and the scones, with tea and coffee to go with them. There are seats outside looking straight over the harbour wall to the sea.

It opens from April to October, when the weather allows, and the latest times go up on its Facebook page. There is no phone signal in Pennan, so bring cash. Every cup supports the village, and the rest of Pennan's one street is only a few steps away.
