Beinn Dubhchraig

A Munro of 979 metres in the Ben Lui range west of Tyndrum, climbed from Dalrigh on the A82.

Welcome

Beinn Dubhchraig, 979 metres, is part of the Ben Lui range near Tyndrum, one of 21 Munros in Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Its neighbour Ben Oss stands about two kilometres to the west, and many people climb the two together. The way in from Dalrigh runs through one of the last stretches of Caledonian forest, natural pine mixed with birch.

It can be a wet walk to start with, and the last of the climb is short but steep. The owners of the land may be at work managing deer and farming. No avalanche forecast covers Beinn Dubhchraig, and under snow that does not mean there is no risk. Choose a day with a good forecast, and carry a map, a compass and warm clothes.
