For cruise passengers in Edinburgh: the Royal Yacht Britannia, the Old Town and the castle.

If your ship is in Edinburgh for the day, this is an easy way to see the best of the city without worrying about getting back. You start at the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith, then drive through the city past the Palace of Holyroodhouse to the Old Town, with time for lunch and Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Royal Mile. The tour comes back through the elegant streets of the New Town. It runs on the days ships are in port, and there's very little time on the road.
