Picts, Nelson and a heritage railway.

Moray's history goes back to the Picts. On the edge of Forres stands a seven-metre carved stone, the tallest early medieval sculpture in Scotland, and at Burghead the ramparts of a great Pictish fort look over the sea. On a hill above Forres, a tower was raised to Admiral Nelson, and Britain's most northerly heritage railway runs to Dufftown. Most are free or cost little.
