Herdsmen of Etive and the Great Glen.

Lochaber's nature is best seen on foot, and on a long walk you watch it change by the day. The West Highland Way crosses the open bog and lochans of Rannoch Moor before dropping into Glencoe. The Great Glen Way follows the canal and the shores of Loch Ness, with views back to Ben Nevis. The East Highland Way runs through forests and along the quiet beaches of Loch Laggan. For one big day, walk all the way round the little herdsman of Etive, with the great one standing over you. Streams can be too high to cross after heavy rain, so watch the forecast.
