Glasgow has some excellent bakeries. In Shawlands, a baker from Ukraine makes daily sourdough and pastries, and a plant-based bakery nearby turns out tarts and doughnuts. In the West End, there's a bakery on Great Western Road that has been baking since 2010, and an American-style deli with a cabinet of doughnuts. Go early, as the best things sell out.
