The last letter written by Mary, Queen of Scots will go on public display in Perth next year. Penned in French just hours before her execution in 1587, the manuscript is held by the National Library of Scotland and rarely leaves secure storage. It will be shown at Perth Museum from 23 January until 26 April, offering a once-in-a-generation opportunity to see the historic document up close. A companion exhibition at the nearby AK Bell Library will feature related items, including a handwritten poem and early manuscripts inspired by Mary’s life and legacy.
