Beinn an Dothaidh rises to the east of Bridge of Orchy.
Beinn Dorain stands about three kilometres to the south, and Forestry and Land Scotland calls the pair "two fine Munros".
It belongs to a close group of hills above Bridge of Orchy and Loch Tulla. Beinn Achaladair is about three kilometres to the north-east and Beinn Mhanach about four kilometres to the east, with Beinn a' Chreachain further off to the north-east.
Down below, the West Highland Way comes through Bridge of Orchy on its stretch from Tyndrum.
West wind to 13 mph, gusting 24
Rain, about 2 mm
Light from 7.52am to 6.16pm, ten hours
A weather model's forecast for the height of the summit, not a report from the hill. Read the mountain forecast the evening before: West Highlands forecast, Beinn an Dothaidh, Argyll and Bute, Southwest Highlands mountain forecast, Scottish Avalanche Information Service.
Choose the day you mean to climb.Near or far: the light you will have, and what the summit is likely to be doing.

This is a challenging walk which should be attempted by experienced hill walkers only.Forestry and Land Scotland, which runs the car park at the start
Under snow and ice this is a different day, with short light and the risk of avalanche. It needs an ice axe, crampons, winter boots and the skill to use them.
The summit is optional. Turning back is the right decision whenever the cloud, the wind or the light say so.
