Waterloo Monument
Introduction
Standing at 150 feet tall, the Waterloo Monument in Ancrum is one of a number of memorials to the Battle of Waterloo across Europe. Designed as a replacement for an original built by architect William Burn, the monument has a staircase built in it – accessible by key – that can be climbed.
