The Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival

From Thursday the 9th to Sunday the 12th of October 2025, the Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival brings together around 40 visiting musicians and about 180 local performers. Events take place in venues across Lerwick—Islesburgh Community Centre, Garrison Theatre—and in rural community halls throughout the isles. The weekend features concerts, supper dances, informal sessions and a youth showcase, culminating in the Grand Dance at Clickimin Leisure Centre with around twelve bands and over a thousand dancers. Sessions run into the early hours, and the festival draws traditional music lovers from Shetland and beyond. It maintains a community-led spirit and long-standing musical tradition.
