Welcome

Seumas' Bar is the bar of the Sligachan Hotel, at the foot of the Cuillin, and since 1987 it has been where climbers, locals and travellers come in off the hill.

It is known above all for its whisky: a collection of more than four hundred, gathered from every corner of Scotland, which made it a finalist for Whisky Bar of the Year in 2025.

Real ales come from the Cuillin Brewery next door, and the kitchen serves everything from fish and chips to puddings, with specials that change daily, to people still in their walking boots. It is a big, lively place, with a wood-burning stove in the lounge, and well-behaved dogs are welcome. Tables are first come, first served, with bookings only for groups of ten or more. The bar opens every day from 11am until 10.30pm, and food is served from noon until 8.30pm.
