Welcome

Rock Cafe sits right on West Bay in Dunoon, looking out across the Clyde, and it's a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or a coffee and cake.

Hazel and her brother-in-law Tom took it on in May 2025 and brought in a fresh team, with a chef in the kitchen and a baker turning out cakes and bakes. Expect the classics alongside daily specials, with seafood now and then, all made fresh. The coffee comes from Argyll Coffee Roasters over on the Kyles of Bute, and the meat, bread and eggs come from local suppliers. Every so often the café holds a seafood night, built round langoustines landed from creels in Loch Striven. It's a couple of minutes' walk down from Castle Hill and handy if you've come over on the ferry. You can phone ahead, too, and pick up your order to take away.
