The Bealach Café and Gallery

A small café and gallery at Tornapress at the foot of the Bealach na Ba, for home baking, soups and breakfasts, with local crafts and jewellery on show.

At Tornapress, where the famous road to Applecross leaves the main road and begins its climb over the Bealach na Ba, a small café and gallery makes a good stop, before the pass or after it.

The Bealach Cafe keeps things simple and does them well: homemade soups, sandwiches and toasties, a full Scottish breakfast, good coffee and hot chocolate, and a counter of home baking, the carrot cake and chocolate cake especially.

Part of the building is a small gallery of local crafts, jewellery and artwork, good for a present. There are tables outside with the mountains all around, and dogs are welcome. It opens Tuesday to Friday, but hours can change through the year, so check before making a special trip.
