Sea Life Mull, Tobermory pontoons
Sea Life Mull's office is in the Ledaig building at the south end of Tobermory's harbour, by the pontoons the boat leaves from. Park in the free Ledaig car park, which is small, or the pontoons car park beside the berth, and be at the pontoons 15 minutes before the 9.30am sailing. The Wildlife Adventure runs from April to October and spends up to four hours at sea: £80 an adult, under-fives free, with children's and family tickets on the booking page. There are basic toilets on board, and dogs on a lead are welcome. Minke whales, common and bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises and grey and harbour seals are all about in season, with white-tailed and golden eagles along the shore; basking sharks come late in summer, and grey seals pup in the autumn. No one day's sightings can be promised. Back ashore at about 1.30pm, it's four minutes along Main Street to the Hebridean Whale Centre: free, and open on weekdays from April to October.
If it rains
The boat sails in rain but not in a sea the skipper judges unsafe; if they cancel, you get a full refund. On a wet afternoon the Hebridean Whale Centre on Main Street is under a roof (weekdays, April to October).
The Galleon, a restaurant.
