Oisgill Bay – A Cliff-Top Walk from Neist Point

From the car park at Neist Point, the steps lead down to the lighthouse.
This walk turns the other way, north along the cliff tops past an old coastguard hut and down to Oisgill Bay, under the cliffs of Biod Bàn. On a clear day the Western Isles sit on the horizon across the Minch.
The walk
Biod Bàn's sea cliffs rise more than 650 feet, and the bay below them is there to explore.
The round comes home up the small glen behind the bay and along the Waterstein road; keep to the north bank of its burn, as the south bank is boggy and crosses private land.
Bring a picnic and a flask.
If it rains
The whole walk is in the open: save it for a clear, dry day.
