Dog-Friendly Places to Stay in Inverness-shire

Inverness-shire has forest tracks, lochside paths and sandy beaches on the Moray Firth to walk with a dog. These are the places to stay where dogs are welcome.

A good dog holiday is all about new smells and long walks, and Inverness-shire has plenty of both. You can follow the Great Glen Way along Loch Ness, wander the pinewoods and riverbanks inland, or head for the beaches around Nairn for a run on the sand. Afterwards, there's a cosy spot waiting for everyone.

We've gathered places to stay where dogs are welcome guests. There's a hotel in Fort Augustus whose garden bedrooms come with their own enclosed garden, plus bowls and treats. There are log cabins on a Highland hillside where every cabin takes dogs, and cottages and a restored bothy on a castle estate near Loch Ness. Near Nairn, there are cabins with a hot tub for you to enjoy after the evening walk. Check the details when you book, as some have a limit on the number of dogs.
