Kylesku Hotel now has 22 rooms after adding four to its main building and bringing Kylesku House under the hotel brand. The Assynt base sits across the bridge overlooking Loch Gleann Dubh. At Plockton Inn, ten rooms in The Haven received a major upgrade alongside the public areas, with the remaining bedrooms due for renovation in early 2027.

The Brass Tap at Tongue Hotel reopened with an interior makeover and outdoor terrace facing Castle Varrich, Ben Loyal and Ben Hope across the Kyle. All 12 rooms at Lochardil House in Inverness were upgraded, its guest lounge now hung with work by local artist Joanna McDonough. The group operates six hotels across the North Coast 500 and Wester Ross.

Highland Coast Hotels, one of the region's largest employers, calls the investment part of a wider shift towards slower travel. It wants guests to stay a while, shop locally and look after the place, rather than simply passing through on the NC500.
