Grannie Annie's, South Harris

A quirky roadside shop on the road to Rodel in South Harris, full of vintage finds, tweed, art and crafts, run by Annie Tempest.

Welcome

On the road from Leverburgh to Rodel, at the southern tip of Harris, a small shop tacked on to the side of a house is easy to drive past.

Stop, because Grannie Annie's holds far more than it looks from outside.

Annie Tempest started with a shop called Grannie's Attic in Stornoway before moving it here in 2014. Every corner is filled with vintage finds, Harris Tweed, art, crafts and curios, from the lovely and the practical to the downright funny, and the stock changes all the time. Visitors speak warmly of Annie herself, welcoming and full of stories about the island.

Grannie Annie's opens from ten in the morning, Monday to Saturday. Combine it with a visit to St Clement's Church at Rodel, just down the road.
