If whisky is your thing, the Grand Tasting is the centre of the Dornoch Whisky Festival. Distilleries, independent bottlers and whisky specialists set up under one roof at Royal Dornoch Golf Club, so you can taste your way round the room and talk to the people behind each bottle. It's part of the town's Autumn Highland Festival, and the whisky festival runs across the weekend from 23 to 25 October. The Grand Tasting is on Saturday 24 October at Royal Dornoch Golf Club, Golf Road, with a morning session from 11am to 2pm and an afternoon one from 3pm to 6pm.
