Arrival day is designed to be unhurried, allowing time to settle into the estate and become familiar with the Lodge and its surroundings. Activities are gentle and social, with space to recover from travel, explore at an easy pace, and enjoy the first evening together at Glen Affric.
Arrival to Glen Affric
Arrive at Glen Affric Estate and settle into the Lodge at your own pace. The team will be on hand to welcome you, assist with luggage, and help you find your way around. Take time to unpack, explore the grounds nearby, and enjoy your first moments on the estate.
Tour and Walk Around the Estate
A relaxed tour and walk offers an introduction to Glen Affric’s layout, history, and landscape. Paths lead through woodland and along the loch, providing a sense of scale and orientation. This is an easy way to begin exploring and understand how the estate fits together.
Afternoon Tea in the Lodge Sitting Room
Afternoon tea is served in the Lodge sitting room, with views across the loch and surrounding hills. Enjoy freshly prepared cakes, sandwiches, and tea in a comfortable setting. This quiet pause allows time to unwind after travel and settle into the rhythm of the house.
6.30pm Drinks and Canapés in the Lodge Sitting Room
Gather in the sitting room for drinks and canapés before dinner. The fire is lit and the atmosphere is relaxed, offering a natural moment to come together, catch up, and ease into the evening.
7pm Dinner in the Lodge Dining Room
Dinner is served in the Lodge dining room, marking the first evening on the estate. The menu is shaped by local produce and seasonal ingredients, prepared by the estate’s chefs. It is a considered but relaxed meal, enjoyed at an easy pace to close the day.
