Ullapool Golf Club – Nine Holes by Loch Broom
A few hours.
The route
Ullapool Golf Club's course runs along the shore of Loch Broom on the north side of the village, with the mountains across the water and a signature hole named after An Teallach, the mountain you see from its tee.
It's a friendly nine holes that welcomes walk-ons, with a second loop for eighteen, and lunch in the clubhouse after.

Ullapool Golf Club
Ullapool Golf Club is on North Road at the north end of the village, with plenty of parking for visitors at the course. Walk-ons are welcome, with no need to book a time. At the time of writing a day ticket is £40 for an adult and £25 for a junior, and it covers nine holes or a second loop for eighteen. Pay in the clubhouse café, or when it's shut, sign in and pay by the QR code in the front porch or in cash in the honesty box. Clubs (£20) and trolleys (£5) are in the shed next to the clubhouse, and there's a two-person buggy (£30) if it's free; clubs can only be hired while the café is open. Warm up at the practice net and the putting green first. The second hole, An Teallach, plays from a high tee over a bank of gorse, with the mountain across the loch. The third runs beside the beach, where a long ball to the left can run out onto the sand. The clubhouse serves meals and drinks through the day all year, but its hours change, so ring 01854 613323 before you go. The club's calendar online shows any competition days.
If it rains
The course is all outdoors; on a wet or wild day keep it to nine holes and let lunch in the clubhouse run long.
