Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Every October, thousands of barnacle geese settle on the Solway for the winter, and the Wild Goose Festival in Dumfries comes out to welcome them. For four afternoons, the Front Room at The Standard on the High Street becomes the festival's Stories Hub. Drop in for talks, conversations and creative activities, meet the people behind this year's theme, Where in the Wild, and keep an eye out for the Loose Goose. Best of all, you can add your own story to The Never Ending Skein, a growing artwork of textile and words that heads to WWT Caerlaverock for the rest of the goose season. The hub is open from 12pm to 5pm, 14 to 17 October, at 139 High Street.
