Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

Wigtown is a small Galloway town with a big love of books, and every autumn it opens its doors for ten days of them. Scotland's National Book Town is full of bookshops, and during the festival they're joined by more than two hundred events. There are talks by writers in the County Buildings, readings, walks and suppers, with a young adults' programme and plenty for children too.
This year it runs from 25 September to 4 October. The bookshops stay open late. Leave room in the car for the books you'll bring home, and time for the Solway coast.
