Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
The sound festival brings ten days of new music to Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Run by sound, the new-music organisation based at Woodend Barn in Banchory, it brings new classical, jazz, electroacoustic music and sound art to concert halls and some far less usual spaces. This year you can hear Quebec's Quatuor Bozzini, Red Note Ensemble and The Edinburgh Quartet, join a family soundwalk through Union Terrace Gardens or come across a sound installation in a shop window. The festival runs from 22 to 31 October, and the full programme and tickets are on the sound website.
