Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

There's something lovely about a house full of quilts, and Shambellie House in New Abbey has more than 400 of them on show this autumn. The annual quilt festival fills the rooms with specialist collections, demonstrations and Japanese challenge hangings made by quilters, local schoolchildren and wellbeing groups. There are fabrics to buy too, if it sends you home wanting to sew. It is open every day from 18 September to 4 October, from 10am to 4pm. Entry is £5, and that includes tea and cake, so you can take your time over it.
