Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Islay is famous for its whisky, but on the first Saturday in October it's all about beer. Islay Ales is holding Oktoberfeis, its first beer festival, at the brewery at Glenegedale, and it has invited five breweries from around Scotland to join in: Wild Barn from Oban, Gigha Brewing, Loch Lomond Brewery, Williams Bros from Alloa and Swannay from Orkney. Beers are poured in half pints, there's seafood and hot food all day, and the music runs from ceilidh tunes and Scottish folk to rock classics. Oktoberfeis is on Saturday 3 October. Tickets are £10 plus a booking fee, and include a tasting glass and your first half pint of Islay Ales.
