Celtic Connections 2027
January in Glasgow has one good reason to go out, and this is it.
MusicThere's nothing quite like a pipe band in full flow, and on the last night of January the National Youth Pipe Band of Scotland brings its young players to Glasgow's City Halls and Old Fruitmarket. The band is run by The National Piping Centre and gathers pipers and drummers aged 10 to 25 from across Scotland. This year's programme is called Voyager. It follows journeys of every kind through music: travel, migration, the movements that shaped history, and each player's own. The concert starts at 8pm on Sunday 31 January 2027, and it is free.
