Some of the UK's most celebrated chefs are heading north this November, and you don't need a trip to London to taste their cooking.
Lys Hansen: A Retrospective
27–23November to December
Perth Art Gallery is giving a whole year to Lys Hansen, the Scottish painter, in her ninetieth year. A Retrospective brings together more than 35 of her works, from large paintings to several sculptures. Among them are The Brave and the Fallen, made this year, and How Wisdom and Folly Meet, Mix and Unite, a large painting of 1987 from the gallery's own collection, so you can follow her work across four decades. The exhibition opens on 27 November 2026 and runs until 23 December 2027. Adults £9, concessions £7; under-18s and Culture Perth and Kinross Supporters go free.
