Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Tam o' Shanter is a Halloween story at heart, and every autumn Rozelle House in Ayr lets you walk right into it. Alexander Goudie's paintings of Burns's poem fill the galleries, taking you from the market to the kirkyard and on to a quick escape over the brig. New this year, a trail of 12 handcrafted characters from the poem, Tam's horse Meg among them, leads through Alloway between Rozelle and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Younger visitors can try free Halloween crafts too, from pumpkin colouring to making a Tam o' Shanter bunnet. It runs from 10 October to 8 November, entry to Rozelle is free, and trail sheets are £3 from either museum.
