Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Halloween at Dalkeith Country Park, just 20 minutes from Edinburgh, starts early this year. From 10 October the Rangers of the Radiant Realm trail sends children aged 2 to 12 round Fort Douglas following clues and solving a mystery to become a Master Keeper of the Light. Later in the month The Big Halloween Screen brings outdoor cinema to the park after dark, with favourites such as Coco, Practical Magic, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus, and the Coffee Cabin has hot drinks, popcorn and pizza. The trail runs from 10 October to 1 November, and the films are on 23 to 25 and 30 to 31 October.
