Halkirk Highland Games 2026

Halkirk Highland Games is held at Halkirk Recreation Park in northern Caithness. The programme includes over 100 competitions and activities ranging from heavy events such as caber tossing and hammer throw to solo piping, pipe band contests, Highland dancing, track and field races, cycling and tug of war. A ceremonial Grand March of pipe bands opens the day, followed by a packed schedule of athletic and cultural displays. Around the arena, visitors enjoy craft stalls, charity and food marquees, a funfair and an evening street parade and marquee dance.
