Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

There are few nicer places to look at paintings than Gallery An Talla Dearg, the little gallery by the old stone pier at Eilean Iarmain in Sleat. This autumn it has Fichead Bliadhna, Gaelic for twenty years, the twentieth annual solo show there by the wildlife painter Derek Robertson, a real milestone for an artist who comes back to this shore every year. Give yourself time for a wander along the water afterwards, with the island of Ornsay just across the sound. The show runs until 7 October and the gallery is open every day from 10am to 6pm, free to walk in.
