Cowalfest

This was on 2 to 4 October 2026, and is over now · Argyll and Bute

2–4October

Early October is a gorgeous time to walk in Cowal, with the woods turning and the lochs still bright, and Cowalfest makes it easy. The walking festival puts on guided walks across the peninsula for three days, each one graded so you can pick what suits you, and each led by someone who can tell you about the wildlife, the history and the views along the way. Dogs are welcome on most walks. On the Saturday night there's a ceilidh to finish your day on your feet. Cowalfest runs from Friday 2 to Sunday 4 October, with the ceilidh on 3 October. Book walks and ceilidh tickets on the Cowalfest website.
